If you're feeling adventurous and want to visit the two beautiful wine regions the Collio and the Vipava valley all in a day, we don't recommend to do it on your own but to take a guided tour such as this small group.  It is a long day, but you get to see a lot of Slovenia and Italy in one day dedicated to the famous of its wine region.

Itinerary
DAY 1: ARRIVAL DAY

Arrival at the Ljubljana airport where you meet your driver. Transfer to the hotel.

Check-in.  Enjoy the sights of Ljubljana on a guided tour of the Slovenian capital covers a walk through the Old town by the Ljubljanica River, see the Dragon Bridge and admire the beautiful pink colored Town Hall at the Preseren Square, the focal point of the city. Lastly, take a funicular up to the Ljubljana Castle for a panoramic view of the city.

DAY 2: YOUR VISIT THE TWO BEAUTIFUL WINE REGIONS

MORNING 


Jump start your day with a breakfast at the Hotel.

Come to the Collio and merge yourself in the green vineyards of Malvasia, Ribolla Gialla, Friulano (formerly known as Tokaj Friuliano) and Picolit. Visit an authentic winery and discover Italian fine wine and flavors.


AFTERNOONS 

1st wine tasting

Cormons boasts over forty winemakers and for this reason is considered the heart and soul of the Collio Goriziano. The local white wines have been recognised as some of the best in the world and it is the perfect location for anyone interested in discovering more about this region’s winemaking history and traditions.

Start your sensorial journey making a guided historical tour of the winery, and learn all the secrets behind the winemaking process. Then, it will be time to enjoy traditional homemade ham “prosciutto with goblets of fine wine.


EVENING 

2nd wine tasting
Slovenia is quickly gaining more prominence on the world wine map with many of its wineries becoming ever more renowned. It’s attracting numerous wine lovers from around the world to visit its wineries and try its excellent wines.
Local traditions, history and family stories will accompany you along the winemaking process, seeing the steel tanks, the barriques and the cellar. You will sample a few wine varietals and will have a chance to ask any questions about wine making.
DAY 3: DEPARTURE DAY

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before making your way home.
